Addy - I met you at Trixie's wedding - you are even more inspirational in person. Your passion, love and sincerity for your work glows out of you as also seen in your unique designs. I enjoyed hearing how you connect your pieces with the spiritual side of where you get your clay. It was an absolute pleasure meeting you and I'm glad I had a chance to tell you in person what a huge fan I am of your work. Keep up the good work!! Look forward to your next show in the States.

Hi Adee, haven't commented despite always visiting your website. I couldn't be more honored to be one of your students. I'm glad I chanced upon the school when I did. Pottery is such a humbling experience. Anyhow, congratulations on your shows! You makes us proud to be Filipinos.

i met this character in boracay. he asked me if i knew how to fight and without waiting for my answer lunged at me...we both ended on the ground..sand all over us, human espasols...we hit it off right away and had "kapatid" tatooed in "baybayin", better known as "alibata", on our arms. this is hadrian mendoza or better known to his close friends as adee...
i call him mr. clay for his mastery of his artform. a big influence on my life and music... adee showed me a lot, taught me things i would never have found out for myself...a teacher but most important a student of life.
i have seen his many personae and alter egos..."adee" the hermit.. to the wild but colorful "shardman"...hadrian is fearless in the search for his own fusion of different ethnic styles..yet all his work is original and sure as hell definitely filipino.
hadrian mendoza...co-writer of the hit song "noypi", "mr clay" and "as the music plays the band", is most important of all.. one of the best the philippines has to offer in one of the oldest artforms in the world...he is my brother, teacher and confidant.
kapatid i am proud of you...show them bastards what excellency in one's craft means...
in the words of hadrian mendoza: "if your not goin' to be the best at what you do..then just stop it and become a politician".. hahaha

Adee,
Well what can i say, i'm impressed as i have always been with you and your craft. I am truly happy that you have continued your passion. I have just come back from Bangkok and attended the Bangkok International House and Gift Exibit at the Impact Arena. They had lots of ceramics and pots on display and i knew most of the designers and manufacturers. You'd kick thier ass dude! I'd like to introduce you to some of them and they would appriciate meeting you too i'm sure. Well say hi to Snoop. You and your wife take care of each other and hopefully we'll hook up again soon.
